Being an event planner I have picked up a few tricks along the way for catering ideas. I use this one in my home to flavor my water.
Buy lemons and cut them into thin slices (I used my mandolin slicer and it took no time at all)
Use a deep baking dish and line with a layer of wax paper
Place a layer of lemon slices down and then put another layer of wax paper on top
Repeat until dish is full and place in freezer overnight
The next morning remove the slices from the wax paper and place into a freezer bag and back into the freezer it goes until your next glass of water. Place 1 lemon slice into your glass and fill with water and voila you have iced lemon water. 🙂
You could also do this same process with limes, oranges, or grapefruit. Caterers use this in punches to create an extra fruity and icy effect.
